Project Cost Controller (w / m / d) EPC(M)

Your tasks

As an innovative and future-oriented company, we at Drees & Sommer act as a solution provider for highly complex projects and engineering partner in planning and realization of industrial sites in the semiconductor and battery cell production, automotive, life sciences, chemical, power plant and process technology sectors.

We provide the design of technical facilities and buildings in-house, as well as all other services in the project value chain.

We are looking for you to take responsibility for scheduling within highly complex EPCM projects.

As a cost controller, you will play a key role in planning budgets, monitoring costs and developing strategies to optimise the costs of major projects.

In this role you can work at any Drees & Sommer location of your choice within Germany according to your personal preference.

Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for project controlling and cost management of a highly complex large-scale EPCM project focussing on industrial and large-scale plants
• Preparation and control of the construction project budget as well as cost and progress control during the course of the project
• Close communication with the relevant project participants such as Procurement, Engineering and Scheduling to assess progress and analyse deviations and change requirements
• Developing measures and strategies for cost optimization
• Preparing, conducting and processing monthly status surveys, dashboards and project performance reports in close coordination with the Commercial Project Manager
• Continuous development of procedures and documents to control budget, progress and costs

Your profile

• Completed degree in economics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
• Sound professional experience in project controlling and cost management of complex industrial projects, ideally in the context of EPCM projects or in the construction industry
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong quality and cost awareness as well as a confident presentation in project meetings
• Business fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
• Independent, structured way of working and high ability for interdisciplinary thinking and cooperation
