Food Quality Director (Germany)
Our client is a leading spanish company in the food sector specialized in the production, cultivation and processing of fresh products.
They are currently in the process of expansion and growth in strategic markets and, one of its main objectives to face this development with solidity is to achieve high productivity standards in their processing plants.
Therefore, they seek to incorporate and experienced Quality Director for their manufacturing plant in Germany (Saxony-Anhalt) in order to coordinate and direct activities related to quality management, research and development in all areas : products, processes and procedures.
Based in Germany and reporting to the Site Managing Director and the Quality International Director, the main functions related to the role will be :
- Implement all QM measures according to DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2000 and VDA.
- Implement all specifications of the QM manual defined by the HQ and in accordance with the country's and the sector's regulations.
- Coordinate all measures and activities to improve the QM system and control of implementation.
- Plan, introduce and monitor procedures and processes for quality assurance, especially in the areas of development, design, product and project management.
- Record, research and evaluate weak points as well as initiate and monitor corrective measures.
- Plan and monitor release tests for new parts and products.
- Participate in the creation and release of technical documentation.
- Support other departments in quality assurance tasks by means of technical quality methods and procedures.
- Plan and implement employee training according to certification and law.
- Report to the management.
- Manage internal and external audits (IFS, BRC,...).
- Carry out analyses of weak points in processes and procedures.
- Initiate and support process and quality improvement projects.
- Define and implement analysing patterns with the internal laboratory team. Monitor the results and implement corrective measures if needed.
- Manage the Quality Team (12 people).
- Conceptual design, creation and plausibility assessment of quality reports.
- Train, coach and apply quality techniques and methods.
- Moderate and implement quality circles and CIP projects
- Execute risk potential analyses FMEA.
- Test planning and monitoring.
- Analyse, map and further development of business processes.
Experience & Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as a QM Manager / Head of Quality (food industry or related)
- Strong leadership and managerial skills in multicultural environments.
- High working capacity under methodology.
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
Languages
- German : Fluent (C2)
- English or Spanish : Fluent
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry.
- Certification of quality control will be an asset.
