Role Overview :

As a Game System Designer, you're pivotal in the game design team. Leveraging your strong computer science background, you'll transform abstract game concepts into intricate models of pace, balance, and economy.

Your expertise enables you to craft and uphold rules for game economy and balance. Additionally, you'll analyse user behaviour and game mechanics from a numerical / systems standpoint, ensuring an engaging experience that resonates with players, driving both enjoyment and monetisation.

Responsibilities :

• Develop comprehensive game systems, including complex economies, pace, and balance
• Assist in establishing design specifications for developers to implement various game systems
• Drive game specifications from concept to launch, optimising for user retention through monetisation and playability testing
• Strategise game progression with a focus on systems and monetisation
• Ensure high-quality game systems by analysing current content and implementing impactful improvements to design and monetisation strategies
• Deliver detailed feature documentation, diagrams, models, analyses, wireframes, and prototypes

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of successful experience in designing game systems, balancing, pacing, and monetisation for F2P games
• Proficiency in social gaming industry, free-to-play, and mobile platform business models
• Strong ability to align player motivations with business objectives
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities
• Profound understanding of mathematics and computer engineering principles
• Experience with game engine production (Unity or similar) is advantageous
• Fluency in English required; German proficiency is beneficial
