Senior Project Management Specialist - Digital Data Products (m/f/d)
At CARIAD, we're bundling and further expanding the Volkswagen Group's software expertise. We’re uniting over 6,500 global experts to build a scalable technology stack, including a software platform, unified electronic architecture and reliable connection to the automotive cloud.
Our CARIDIANS are developing vehicle functions such as driver assistance systems, a next-generation infotainment platform, power electronics and charging technology, and digital services in and around the vehicle.
Our software can already be found in Volkswagen ID. models and will soon power Audi and Porsche vehicles with the E3 1.2 platform in 2024.

YOUR TEAM
You will be working for CARIAD on behalf of Volkswagen Group Info Services AG (GIS). GIS is made up of an ever-growing team of digital strategists, sales experts and product managers who are working on making enabled data products available and ready to drive innovation forward.
Thereby, GIS acts as trusted partner for the Volkswagen Group. As an independent legal entity, GIS is the linking pin between the Group brands as data owners, CARIAD as infrastructure developer and the data users in brands, Group and third parties.
Data for the benefit of All : Volkswagen Group Info Services AG is creator and home of the Data Hub, the central interface to mobility data by multiple Volkswagen Group brands.
With insights from various data sources, GIS shapes services and products so that all may benefit - companies, individuals and society.
This is the foundation for the B2B data business of GIS, generating new revenue streams through licensing of data products.
The B2B Data Hub is the gateway to dynamic vehicle sensor data, after sales data and further data sources from various Group legacy systems.
Cross-brand collaboration ensures a common data product offering, one face to the customer, a common legal framework and a common technology & distribution approach.
Hereby, GIS leverages and protects the Group data business. GIS represents the Volkswagen Group in national and international private / public partnerships shaping the future of European data economics and the outside perception of the Volkswagen Group as important stakeholder.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Transform the potentials of data from different data sources in the After Sales business into value adding products for our B2B customers
- Closely collaborate with tech teams, legal, business development, sales and your colleagues in the delivery management team to launch data products as committed in the product portfolio
- Define technical product requirements by applying agile methods of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Develop concepts and product documentation such as user journeys, data privacy documentation and IT architecture descriptions together with experts, , Product Owners and IT Architects
- Report project status to stakeholders from brands and on management level
- Moderate between the interests of the expert departments in brands, regulatory requirements, strategic guidelines and revenue objectives
- Own the scope and success of your projects and deliver results through smart steering, transparency and continuous tracking of deliverables
- Act to overcome obstacles while ensuring stakeholder commitment, develop solutions and trigger escalation if necessary
WHO YOU ARE
- Passionate team player eager to bring the existing data product portfolio to the next level with your expertise and track-record of successful digital product launches
- Proven experience (5+ years) as product manager in a digital business / data focused environment
- Experienced with agile development methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration, ideally in SAFe environments
- Proactive, creative, structured, solution-oriented and able to bring in experience and methodological knowledge to thrive digital business
- Automotive industry knowledge,
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality data products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
- Fluent in writing and speaking German and English
