Based in the tech-capital of South West Germany, my international client is offering an unparalleled Senior Systems Engineer role.
This technology giant develops world-leading Cloud Infrastructure and Services to a global client base, within multiple industries.
During this exciting time, they urgently require a Senior Systems Engineer to utilize their specialist skills to fuel the progression of the company.
Responsibilities
- Run, monitor, and upgrade large-scale Ceph clusters
- Automate maintenance, monitoring, and deployment tooling, for increased scalability
- Contribute to changes in the Ceph upstream using C++, and also add changes which are not upstream
- Problem analysis, incident management, and system monitoring
Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineer or similar
- 3+ years experience operating / running large-scale Ceph clusters (ideally >
20PB)
- Experience in C++ programming
- Config management tools such as Ansible or Puppet are mandatory
- Experience in Debian-based Linux systems
- Fluency in English
