Supply Chain Manager
This position will lead a procurement team and will be responsible for the performance of both operational and strategic aspects of the supply chain which include having a thorough understanding of the overall business plan and long-term sales and marketing strategy to ensure the supplier base is providing strong pipelines for the business.
This onsite role will be based in Landshut, Germany.
Role Responsbilities :
Development and implementation of a holistic purchasing strategy for the purchasing department, taking into account corporate goals and market conditions, as well as the further development of networking within the Group
Leading and developing the purchasing team to ensure an efficient and high-performing department, as well as being a member of the site management team
Identifying and evaluating suppliers and building long-term partnerships to ensure delivery capability and quality
Responsibility for contract negotiations and drafting framework agreements with suppliers
Analysis of procurement risks and development of appropriate measures to minimize risks
Working closely with other departments such as engineering, production and quality management to ensure a smooth flow of materials
Ensuring compliance with aviation-specific regulations and standards in the purchasing process
Profile :
Degree in business administration, aviation management or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in purchasing, ideally in the aviation industry, with proven management experience
Sound knowledge of strategic purchasing as well as contract and supplier management
Analytical thinking and the ability to grasp and evaluate complex issues
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Team orientation and strong leadership skills
Strong skills to influence
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred experience :
Knowledge of aircraft interiors
APICS / CPIM certification
Strong knowledge in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain activities
Understanding of critical commodities such as plastics, electronics, metals and machined parts
Good knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, processes and procedures
