Job Advertisement : Test Engineer – Wind Tunnel & Propulsion

Location : On-site in Germany (1 day of home office per week possible during test-free periods)

Duration : 18-month contract (with potential for permanent conversion)

Candidate needs to have rights to work in Germany

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our Propulsion Testing team. In this role, you will take charge of end-to-end test campaigns focused on wind tunnel testing and propulsion systems. From test request assessment to final reporting, you will play a key part in shaping innovative aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate with design teams to refine test requests.
Prepare and execute wind tunnel and other propulsion test campaigns.
Design test and measurement setups, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
Coordinate technicians, suppliers, and support teams.
Lead hands-on test executions and analyze post-test data.
Provide feedback for design improvements.
Maintain a strong safety culture in the lab environment.

Requirements :

Education : Degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. / M.Eng preferred).

Experience :

Strong background in propulsion testing (wind tunnel experience is a plus).

Proficiency in measurement methods and instrumentation .

Skilled in data analysis and post-processing .

Familiarity with testing multi-kW electrical machines and CAD systems (Siemens NX) is a bonus.

Skills :

Fluent in English (German or other languages are a plus).

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Travel : Willingness to travel within Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands (up to 15%).
