We are looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our team and ensure the success and satisfaction of our clients through expert technical support and relationship management.

Job Summary

As the IT Operations Lead at Ververica, you will play a critical role in ensuring the robust and secure operation of our general IT infrastructure within a compact, hands-on team with a primary focus on support of internal clients.

Reporting to the Head of IT Security and Compliance, this role is ideal for a candidate with a strong technical background who is comfortable working closely on day-to-day tasks and is eager to build and automate IT operations processes from the ground up.

In this role, you'll take the lead in developing IT processes, automating workflows, and conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to analyze market solutions.

You'll need to justify and onboard new tools as necessary, particularly focusing on areas like User IT Support, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to ensure security and operational integrity.

A background in IT security and multi-cloud environments like AWS, GCP, Azure, GitHub, and Atlassian will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

Business Continuity Planning : Design and implement effective BCP strategies to ensure resilience and rapid recovery of IT services during disruptions.

IAM and User Support Automation : Lead the automation of security processes and user support systems, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.

DevOps and IaC Integration : Champion DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to improve agility and security.

Hands-On Technical Leadership : As part of a small IT operations team, take a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges and managing operational tasks.

PoCs and Solution Analysis : Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs), analyze market solutions, and justify the selection of new technologies for further onboarding.

Security Compliance and Process Optimization : Continually assess and refine IT operations to align with security standards and organizational goals.

Team Development : Mentor and develop team members, fostering a proactive and learning-oriented environment.

Vendor Management and Stakeholder Relations : Maintain strong relationships with technology providers and internal stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on IT security.

Proven experience in IT operations management with hands-on experience in building and automating processes.

In-depth knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), GitHub, Google Workspace and Atlassian.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage both strategic and day-to-day operational challenges.

Proven ability to work in a small, hands-on team environment.

Relevant certifications are preferred.
