What You Will Do :
Program management of microphone product development for German OEM automotive applications, requiring creation and maintenance of a
project plan, collaboration with partners, coordination of schedules, problem resolution and status presentations
- Manage 4 to 6 microphone programs and cross-functional teams to support sales pursuits and projects for automotive microphones
- Serve as lead program interface with customer. Responsible for 2 to 4 German OEMs or other EU OEM accounts
- Understand all of the technical detail of the products used in all systems, both electrical and mechanical
- Understand requirements and technical solutions for meeting customer requirements for all development products
- Establish and manage program budget
- Work with Sales, Supplier Engineering, and Design Engineering to set system cost target. Meet system cost target.
- Set team goals for timeliness, customer issues, and quality.
- Interact with other internal functions such as manufacturing, quality, purchasing and marketing.
- Negotiate resource allocations from functional managers
- Review selected suppliers and quotes, and participate in supplier reviews / selection as appropriate.
- Coordinate and oversee ordering of prototype and production tooling
- Audit task completion. Report major deviations from plan to appropriate management
- Recommend continuous improvements development process
What You Need :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical
- 5+ years related experience in program management, sales, quality, design, engineering management, or process engineering, or AME
- Project Planning, problem solving, multi-tasking, project management skills
- Technical knowledge of Audio systems and Automotive Electronics preferred
- Understanding of embedded audio electronics preferred
- Experience with Project Management tools such as Jira, ALM, Confluence
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving customer and internal)
- Fluent speaking in German and English, basic communication skills in a third language (Italian / French) appreciated
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
