Hauptaufgaben
• Comprehensive Housing Management (On-Post & Off-Post): The core function involves managing all facets of Army Family Housing (AFH) and Unaccompanied Housing (UH), including assignments, inspections, and policy enforcement. Crucially, this also includes operating the Housing Services Office (HSO) to support personnel in the private rental market by inspecting properties, counseling on local laws, assisting with contracts, and mediating landlord-tenant disputes.
• In-Processing and Eligibility Determination: A primary responsibility is handling the administrative intake of all personnel. This includes reviewing orders, determining eligibility for various housing types and allowances (TLA, OHA, MIHA), managing waiting lists, and issuing Certificates of Non-Availability (CNA) when on-post housing is not available.
• Customer Service and Counseling: Provides direct support to Soldiers, Civilians, and their families through in-person, email, and phone inquiries. This involves explaining complex housing regulations, counseling on relocation policies, and providing guidance on financial entitlements.
• Financial and Administrative Processing: Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of documents to the finance office to start or stop housing allowances. This includes preparing and processing TLA, OHA, and MIHA forms.
• Database and Records Management: Maintains the accuracy of the official Army housing database (eMH) by tracking occupancy, managing applications, and updating all customer and property information throughout the in/out-processing and assignment lifecycle.
• Furnishings and Property Accountability: Manages the government furnishings program, determining eligibility and authorization for furniture and appliances. This includes issuing supply documents, accounting for all items via hand receipts, and ensuring the timely return of loaned equipment.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
MINIMUM Hauptschulabschluss (E&T Level I) PLUS 2 years of clerical experience PLUS 3 years of job related experience.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of clerical experience.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Definition – Clerical Experience & Job Related Experience:
Clerical Experience: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Job Related Experience: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
