Field Service Engineer – Solids Control (m/f/d) About the Role
As an Offshore Solids Control / Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solids control and drilling waste management equipment. You will ideally have a mechanical, electrical, or oilfield service background and be familiar with equipment such as shale shakers, centrifuges, and other solids control systems. We also welcome candidates with transferable experience from heavy equipment, marine, mining, construction, or industrial maintenance, as comprehensive product training will be provided. What You'll Do
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair Solids Control equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Support offshore drilling operations and optimize equipment performance.
- Work closely with customers, mud engineers, and drilling teams.
- Complete service reports and ensure compliance with NOV's QHSE standards.
- Travel offshore as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Experience maintaining or servicing industrial or mechanical equipment.
- Good German and English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work offshore.
- Valid Category B driving licence.
Preferred
- Experience with Solids Control, drilling equipment, or field service.
- Offshore certifications (BOSIET, Offshore Medical, MIST, VCA/SCC).
- Experience in Oil & Gas, heavy equipment, marine, mining, construction, or industrial maintenance.
