Personal Assistant - Gas Portfolio Management d/f/m

We are looking for a highly motivated Personal Assistant to join our team on a 12-18 monthsmaternity cover, supporting day-to-day activities while also getting involved in broader organisational and strategic projects. The team you will be joining: Gas Portfolio Management consists of 60 team members, is based in 3 locations and is active in over 20 European countries. The team optimises and trades gas asset positions, acts as market maker for RWE sales channels and power generation assets and is responsible for the dispatch of the gas portfolio positions.

About the role

• Provide first-class personal and team assistant support services, including diary, email, meeting management, and overall planning of internal and external meetings.
• Planning, organising business travel and settlement of travel expenses.
• Monitor budget control and analysis for the team, and contribute to overall cost-efficiency.
• Preparing documents (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint) in German and English language.
• Organisation of team events and offsites, including content to further support and grow our team spirit and culture.
• Contribute or run projects to improve processes, efficiency, personal development and happiness at the workplace.
• Additional tasks / projects possible in line with own individual growth plans.

Job requirements and experience

• Highly intrinsically motivated and committed, flexible in approach to work, capacity for adapting to challenging and changing work environment and deadlines.
• Ability to work in a busy environment without constant supervision and ability to prioritise and organise work effectively, ensuring excellent attention to detail.
• Strong team player with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Very sound skills in Microsoft Office application.
• Ability to write and/or update presentations/papers for submission up to Board level.
• Ability to communicate effectively with tact and discretion in English, both in written and verbal formats, with management and staff at all levels within the RWE group and externally.
• A highly flexible, proactive and resourceful approach with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to proactively identify solutions to problems.
• Open minded, open to develop, grow, improve oneself and the team.

Advantageous, but not essential

• Proven track record in an international business organisation.
• German language skills.
• Experienced and interested in modern way of working, paperless, digital, applying new tools.
• Knowledge of the RWE Group and the business of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH.
