We are located in the City of Science Darmstadt, which is very international, livable and well-connected in the Rhine-Main area around Frankfurt.Job descriptionThe position is in the ERC Consolidator Grant “Tools for Protecting Data and Function Privacy” (PRIVTOOLS), where we develop composable protocols, optimizations, and tools for protecting data and functions in applications using MPC, PFE, PSI and PSU. As postdoc @ENCRYPTO, your tasks are project management, close collaboration with doctoral researchers and student assistants, research on design, optimization, implementation and evaluation of efficient cryptographic protocols and tools for their automatic generation, and publishing the results at top international venues in applied cryptography/IT security. You also contribute to teaching in our course Cryptographic Protocols and by supervising thesis students.Your profilePublications at top venues (CORE A*/A) for applied cryptography/IT security (e.g., S&P, CCS, NDSS, USENIX SEC, EUROCRYPT), ideally on cryptographic protocols and secure computationCompleted (or close to completing) PhD at top university in applied cryptography/IT securityExperience in software development, project management and supervising studentsBeneficial is experience in MPC/PFE/PSI/PSU, compiler construction, hardware synthesisThe working language @ENCRYPTO is English, so you must be able to discuss/write/present scientific results in English, whereas German is not required.
