The Charging Design, Components & Integration department provides our customers with the best charging experience by integrating our AC and DC charging systems into EV and plug-in vehicles.
We ensure seamless interaction with on- and off-board functions and make the charging process convenient and reliable. Our development process includes the definition of the entire charging system with infrastructure requirements, standards, charging profiles, charging services and requirements for the HMI.
We are also responsible for validating and approving the electric powertrains of all battery electric vehicles (BEV).
In our team, we develop charging solutions for future electric vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz brand and validate the charging system at vehicle level in our charging laboratory.
We need your support for these tasks :
- Development and specification of charging functions
- Derivation and documentation of test cases for the validation of components / functions
- Carry out specified tests on charging system functions on the vehicle
- Analyze and document errors and coordinate with those responsible for the functions
- Carry out charging performance measurements as a basis for external communication and document results.
- Carry out HV safety tests and document results.
- Co-organization of laboratory operations and supporting activities for the team.
- Literature research of technical content

Qualifikationen
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science or a comparable course of study
- Enjoy team-oriented work, initiative, reliability and a sense of responsibility
- Confident written and spoken German and English skills
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Ideally previous knowledge of CAN tools (e.g. Vector CANape / CANoe), diagnostic tools (e.g. Softing DTS9) and test tools (e.g. STARC) helpful
Other knowledge :
Car driver's license class B desirable
