JOB OPENING Title : Onsite Warehouse Supervisor Location : Einsiedlerhof Air Station, Kaiserslautern, Germany Start Date : 3 June 2024 31 October 2024 Job-Type : Seasonal Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking personnel to provide supervisory and delivery services that include delivery and pick-up of furnishings and appliances to and from Einsiedlerhof Air Station.

This is a six-month contract to provide services from 3 June 31 October 2024. Qualifications Ability to read, write and speak English and German language.

Ability to manage a team of 5-7 warehouse personnel, to include working with Government staff members to arrange daily schedule and team assignments.

Ability to use the reporting system appropriately, recognizing and noting in English any damages to Government and private property.

Physical ability to load and unload furnishings and domestic appliances include (but not limited to) dining chairs, dining tables, sofas, easy chairs, coffee tables, end tables, bed frames, mattresses, nightstands, wardrobes, chest of drawers, washing machines, dryers, and refrigerators.

Furnishings and appliances are manufactured by different companies and include various sizes and weights. Physical ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions.

Position involves extensive physical activity which requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 35 kilograms, and with the aid of other personnel or weight handling equipment, larger objects weigh between 70 and 120 kg.

Work is done inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted. Personnel are regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury.

Work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require safety precautions and may require wearing protective clothing, therefore personnel must be physically able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hardhats, safety toed shoes and gloves as required by task performed.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to : Full accountability of all employees on the team to include liaison services with Government staff as necessary.

Daily meeting with Government staff to examine the workload, distribute daily tasks, and discuss / resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Load and unload furnishings and appliances, and related equipment onto and off trucks. Deliver furnishings and appliances from Building 720 Einsiedlerhof Air Station to customers within the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

Pick-up furnishings and appliances from customers within the Kaiserslautern Military Community to Building 720 Einsiedlerhof Air Station.

Assemble and / or disassemble furnishings. Hook up and disconnect appliances (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators). Connect washing.

machines and checks the water lines for leaks. Inspection of furniture and appliances and assessment and documentation of conditions.

Report of any detects defects, damages and errors to the COR or Dispatch supervisor. Prepare daily trip ticket and time accountability log for each deliver / pick-up.

Make and provide for optimum use of the available storage space and at the same time observe the permissible gross weight of the vehicle.

Move, place, assemble, and disassemble furnishings taking care not to cause damage to such furnishings, facilities, vehicles, or personal property.

General Cleaning tasks : ensure daily interior cleaning of assigned vehicles, weekly exterior washing, and organization of workspace.

Adhere to all safety and equipment operation techniques. Individuals who currently living (or will soon live) within 50km of the job location will be considered.
