Language Excellence Manager

The Language Excellence Manager (m / f / d) is a leadership role responsible for driving quality, innovation, and customer success for some of Lionbridge’s most impactful and high‑value customers. The position combines strategic ownership, operational excellence, and deep partnership—particularly with key customers across the German market.
In this role, you will play a central part in shaping the future of language quality, AI‑enabled solutions, and linguistic excellence. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders to advance their AI, data, and localization transformation, ensuring exceptional delivery outcomes and long‑term strategic growth.
What You Will Do
Strategic Customer Insight & Partnership Provide strategic guidance and leadership for Language Excellence initiatives supporting high‑complexity, high‑visibility customers in the German market.
Build strong, trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, advising them on language quality, AI‑driven enhancements, and process optimization.
Work closely with the customer to help advance their AI journey and ensure seamless integration of new technologies and solutions.
Lead a specialized team of Language Excellence Managers supporting strategic and global accounts.
Represent Lionbridge as a senior subject‑matter expert in linguistic quality, AI‑powered language solutions, and operational excellence.
Ensure the deployment of the most effective language models, tools, and frameworks to meet customer expectations, quality standards, and financial goals.
Partner cross‑functionally with : Product – to design and operationalize language solutions tailored to customer needs.
Sales – to strengthen customer understanding of complex solutions and support strategic engagements.
Operational Leaders & GPMs – to ensure scalability, automation, and alignment with customer commitments.
Language Production – to optimize resource allocation and elevate quality and efficiency.
Quality Leadership & Continuous Improvement Own quality outcomes for your strategic customer portfolio and continuously drive improvements across workflows and processes.
Monitor KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for innovation or optimization.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Lionbridge’s language services by bringing field insights and customer needs into future solution design.
Collaborate with Community Management to enhance delivery approaches and build an engaged, high‑performing linguistic community.
Support the integration of new suppliers and adoption of emerging technologies, including advanced GenAI‑driven workflows.
