Experienced Lawyer – Business Criminal law
Your role :
You will join our Business Crime Practice Area, which provides a complete range of services relating to all matters concerning white collar crime to both domestic and international clients, including banks, investment funds and other service providers in the financial sector, as well as any other firms, government agencies or individuals.
You will be directly reporting to the partner in charge while collaborating within a small group of associates.
You will advise our clients about all matters relating to white collar crime in order to be compliant with criminal law.
You will defend our clients at all stages of criminal proceedings, be it as defendants, civil claimants or otherwise implicated persons. As such, you will draft written submissions and defend our clients’ interests in Court and in hearings by the police, the investigating judge or other authorities as well as during dawn raids.
You will conduct meetings and conference calls with clients and participate in the drafting of proposals with the support of our Business Development team.
You will follow-up on client requests, draft opinions and documents and supervise your assigned associates.
You will actively collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide input from your expertise in the scope of complex and multidisciplinary matters.
You will train young lawyers within the team and will organize teamwork.
Generally, you will be actively implicated in the development of the practice area, including participating as a speaker in conferences, (co-)authoring publications and giving training courses to existing and projected clients on various subjects relating to white collar crime, such as money laundering, corruption, misuse of corporate assets, defamation etc..
Your profile :
You hold a university degree in law (Master), ideally completed by an LL.M. in business or criminal law;
You have gained a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in the field of business criminal law in Luxembourg;
You have a perfect command of English and French, both with excellent written communication and legal drafting skills. German would be considered a real asset;
You are able to prioritize and efficiently handle multiple tasks;
You are open-minded, self-driven, flexible and capable of working pro-actively and well organized in very dynamic and demanding environment.
