The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing efficient Payroll services for employees in the DACH region. Oversees the development, implementation, and administration of cost-effective Payroll processes across these corporate entities.
Actively participates in the Global Shared Services Center, supporting company initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with statutory regulations.
- Overseeing the end-to-end payroll processes for our Central region employees.
- Review and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior payroll staff, resolving complex payroll-related issues and queries.
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, addressing concerns and providing accurate information.
- Conduct periodic payroll reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Liaise with external auditors and government agencies for payroll-related audits and compliance checks.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation, tax rates, and statutory requirements
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
Skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws governing German Payroll (e.g., tax, withholding and wage garnishment)
- Strong problem-solving abilities. Is required to analyse issues and create action plans
- Track record of building solid relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners ( experience working with external providers is a plus)
- Knowledge of relevant software (MS Office) with good working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Experience in working in a multilateral, multinational team
Requirements :
- 3 years of proven Payroll Management experience in an international environment.
- Language Skills : Fluent in English and German
