Certification Engineer – Installation Technology f/m/d

Location : Wiehl As a Certification Engineer f / m / d you will be responsible for conformity assessment of the products in development and in evolution projects, as well as the maintenance of the certificates and managing the relevant conformity assessment activities of the existing products during the whole life cycle of the product.

In order to achieve the compliance and to ensure the market access of our products, you will work with several internal stakeholders as well as different national and international Certification Bodies.

The major focus of this position will be on certificates and declaration of conformities (DoCs) for our products within the Home and Distribution area of Installation Materials and Installation Systems.

Your IMPACT Evaluating conformity of the offer according to product standards or other statutory requirements, directives and market regulations.

Planning, monitoring and execution of Conformity Assessment activities, managing certification and drafting declarations of conformity, carrying out, monitoring and updating conformity assessment procedures in coordination with different internal departments and 'Scrum' teams operating in 'Agile' project management organization.

Participating in product development meetings to ensure certification aspects are considered and planned in the projects from the early stages.

Determining project certification scope and specifications such as cost (incl. tracking the financial aspects), sample requirements, discussing procedures, test methods, test results and variations in devices as necessary to resolve problems.

Providing technical expertise and support to internal teams, customers, and partners regarding certification requirements.

Collaborating with and advising project teams and internal test labs about product validation. Monitoring updates in the legal framework and the Standards and communicating internally.

Our attractive salary and the social benefits our international group offers speak for themselves. Your profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and some years of experience in product certification.

Knowledge of the interpretation and application of product Standards (besides other EN series, EN -1 series, EN -1 series ) and certification processes.

Knowledge in application of European Directives (LVD, RoHS, GPDS etc.) Effective communication, negotiation and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking. Ability to work in a team and handle multiple projects at the same time.
