Job Description
Are you a Geoscientistwho is employable on our site investigations projects in offshore wind energy?
AFRY seeks a consultant geoscientist with experience in offshore site investigations, who has a passion for procuring and supervising, for example, geophysical, geotechnical and / or morphodynamic studies.
In addition, experience in project management in development projects, tender management, contract management, due diligences, strategic consulting and / or construction management of offshore projects and general experience in wind energy is considered a plus.
Our dream candidate
The challenge of this role is that you can go both into details, but also are able to maintain overview during all phases of the project.
You must be able to devise and assess survey parameters for studies before the actual survey by third parties starts. In doing so, you organize tenders for domestic and foreign experts and agencies.
In the implementation phase, you manage the parties who won the contract for the execution of the survey.
Qualifications
Job requirements
You have :
- A technical university degree in e.g. Earth Sciences, Geology, Geophysics, Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and / or experience with geophysical, geotechnical and / or morphodynamic studies;
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is considered a plus :
- Geological interpretations of seismic data;
- Lab testing programs of geotechnical samples;
- Development of ground models;
- Acquisition and processing of geophysical data.
- Strong affinity for renewable energy, current developments, and the ambition to want to know everything about the energy market;
- Experience in managing (project) teams;
- Experience in preparing reports;
- Experience in acquisition of new assignments;
- Ambition to share your knowledge and take an active role in AFRY projects.
Your profile :
- You are independent and able to find your own way within complex projects and processes and you have an eye for the interests of our clients;
- You are proactive, enterprising, and solution-oriented;
- You are customer- and results-oriented, and have;
- You have strong communication skills, verbal and written, in English (and possibly also Dutch).
