Software Lead Developer

As a Software Lead Developer at ZEISS, you will be covering all aspects of software development from technical specification to concept development, design, implementation, testing and technical documentation.
You will join ZEISS as an integral part of the team and Advise other departments, product managers and engineers as an expert in your field with regard to the software applications and conduct training courses on the use of the software systems and the GUI
The role as Software Lead Developer will involve :
- Technical and methodological guidance of an agile in-house development team
- Developing software applications for very complex photomask systems to produce defect-free photomasks for chip production in the semiconductor industry in our software development team
- Helping shape the product backlog in terms of software, derive features and user stories and assess, plan, and implement them together in the software development team
- Contributing to customer success in an interdisciplinary team of experts and an international environment on our excellent products in close cooperation with product managers, project managers, testers, and architects
As a Software Lead Developer, you will ideally have :
- A master's degree, equivalent diploma or doctoral degree in the field of computer science, engineering or natural sciences and 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Very good programming skills or several years of experience with the development of Windows applications with C#, C++, .
NET, WPF, WinForms, Visual Studio, UML, NUnit, MSTest, with knowledge of hardware-related software development under Windows in C++, C++ / CLI, C# and P / Invoke using interfaces such as TCP / IP, RS232, ADS
- Knowledge of process and project tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps) and central version management (e.g. GIT)
- Very good German and English skills as well as enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
- A willingness to travel occasionally.
