Senior Director of Marketing

Director of Marketing (m / f / d) Hamburg / Berlin

My client is a global leader in energy fuels supply across various sectors including road transport, aviation, industry and shipping and urgently looking for a Director of Marketing.

As the Director of Marketing (m / f / d), you will lead my client’s energy business marketing initiatives. You will build and manage a team responsible for brand strategy, product marketing, digital marketing, and sales enablement.

Your dedication will help the company design and maintain marketing activities for a diverse portfolio of conventional and renewable energies, supporting our goal of becoming the preferred independent liquid fuels supplier in their core markets.

The product portfolio includes various fuels such as mineral fuels, LPG, biofuels, e-fuels, methanol, and hydrogen / ammonia.

Responsibilities :

• Brand Strategy Development and implementation of a comprehensive brand strategy aligned with company goals.
• Team Building and Leadership skills in hiring, training, and leading the marketing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

Provide mentorship and career development opportunities.

• Conducting market research to inform brand positioning and messaging.
• Leading product marketing efforts, including pricing strategies, promotions, and product launches. Collaborate closely with product development teams to meet market demands.
• Overseeing digital marketing strategies, including SEO / SEM, social media, email campaigns, and online advertising. Use analytics to guide decisions and improve campaign performance.
• Ensuring sales enablement by providing sales teams with essential tools, materials, and training. Ensure alignment and mutual support between marketing and sales strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience :

• Several years in a Marketing and Brand Positioning Leadership role in a demanding B2B sector.
• Great educational background with a Master's degree (or equivalent) in economics, marketing, or a related field.
• Several years of experience as Marketing Director, preferably in energy or commodities
• Marketing Professional with a strong proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics.
• Great management skills demonstrated with empathetic and holistic leadership skills, experienced in leading teams through ambiguity in international setups.

Strong communication skills.

• Exceptional in handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with strong contextual awareness and strategic thinking skills.
• Hands-On Mentality in operational duties and working in fast-paced environments with flat hierarchies and solving challenges independently.
• Ability to build a solid team in the marketing department
• Fluent in English and German
