Small Farms Outreach and Communications Assistant
Position Summary
We are looking for one part-time (maximum 19 hours per week) student to assist the Small Farms Coordinator with duties related to outreach and engagement.
This position will work remotely. The schedule is flexible depending on workload and student’s needs, but some availability on weekdays between 8 : 00 a.
m. and 5 : 00 p.m. is required.
This position has the potential to be remote however there will be some training and a few events in the Salem area. The right candidate will be detailed oriented, professional, creative and must be able to work independently.
Position Duties The position will support the program coordinator by managing social media pages, a regional online newsletter, email lists and will also provide programming and event planning support.

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standardHigh School student : Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling programUndergraduate and post-baccalaureate student : 6 credit hours per termUndergraduate international student : 12 credit hours per term*Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School : 5 credit hours per termGraduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School : 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered full-time by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
A reduced course load is approved by the (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications Must have a valid drivers and reliable transportation.
