What we are looking for :

To help us on our mission, we are looking for a talented and highly ambitious Operations Engineer / Linux Admin. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of our business infrastructure. With your in-depth knowledge of Linux administration, networking and automation tools, you will ensure the seamless operation of our infrastructure :

  • Maintain all aspects of our business infrastructure at AnyDesk, including hardware, virtual systems, network and operating system issues
  • Set up servers, websites and implement security precautions
  • Manage domain registration, administration and certificate management
  • Implement service mirroring, fall back scenarios and service status monitoring
  • Participate in the implementation of new products and systems
  • Troubleshoot issues as needed on an ad hoc basis
  • Source and manage vendors to support our infrastructure needs
  • Manage our 200+ server infrastructure

Basic Qualifications :

  • Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, specifically Debian-based systems
  • Strong interest in scripting, programming, and automation, with experience in at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python
  • Knowledge of at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and experience with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, and schema design
  • Preferred Skills and Experience :

  • Strong focus on service quality and providing the best possible user experience, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, multicultural environments, both as a member of cross-functional teams and independently
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
