Senior Software Engineer - Java / Apache

Requirements :

• A university degree in a quantitative field (such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, or natural sciences) or an equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in the IT industry.
• Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies, programming languages, and technologies.
• Strong commercial experience with Java (JEE).
• Proficiency in tools like IntelliJ, Eclipse, Git, Subversion, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Jira, or similar.
• Familiarity with UML design tools or equivalents.
• Proficient in German.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze functional requirements.
• Design and create detailed technical specifications for software development.
• Implement software, including configuration control, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Support or execute the deployment process.
• Produce and maintain internal technical documentation as needed, such as software designs, test specifications, and technical notes.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and expertise in software development.
• Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with other software engineering teams, database teams, testing teams, and documentation teams.
• Recommend test controls, strategies, and equipment, define test schedules, and determine test data requirements. Test and document results.
• Report to the project manager and / or team lead on performance against timelines, specifications, and quality requirements.

Identify deviations from the plan and propose corrective actions.

• Maintain IT documentation and adhere to IT procedures.
• Stay updated on developments and advancements in software engineering. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support their implementation across the organization.
• Comply with company values and adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly in regard to the code of conduct, quality, security, and occupational health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, as reasonably required.
