My client, a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) at the forefront of providing innovative solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences industries, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager.
They are a young and growing pharma service organisation offering fully-integrated services from cell line engineering over process development and drug quality control up to broad bioanalytical capabilities for preclinical and clinical studies.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and expanding the client base in alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities within target market segments.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, including key decision-makers.
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical, operations, and finance.
- Independently draft proposals and pricing calculations in consultation with respective departments.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our services.
- Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and market insights.
- Act as the account manager for signed projects.
Must have qualifications :
- Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences (I.e., Biology, Biochemistry)
- 3-5 years' experience working within a CDMO organisation - Proven track record of success in business development within the CDMO industry.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
