Footwear Designer - Active Sports Fashion (Technical Scope)

Technical Project Scope : Colour & Material Selection

This project focuses on footwear design, specifically colour and material selection, for a variety of active sports footwear types.

Responsibilities :

Trend Research and Mood Board Creation : Research and identify relevant color and material trends for various active sports footwear categories (commercial to high-performance, men's and women's, versatile).

This will be presented in mood boards for internal and ogranisational feedback.

Material Map Creation : Develop material maps for footwear models based on provided Product Design's material selections.

These maps will be provided to the contractor beforehand. Physical copies will also be handed over to the development team.

Color Concept Development : Create independent color concepts for footwear articles. These concepts will be validated and approved.

Adjustments will be made based on their feedback.

• Color Rollout Management : Review and update the proposed color rollout plan using your expertise and feedback received during weekly project meetings with the contractor.
• Color Tech Pack Creation : Apply the approved color rollout plan to each of the 70 footwear articles and develop a color tech pack for each.

This tech pack will require approval.

Color Design Refinement : Based on feedback received in a color sign-off meeting, update the individual color designs for each article.

This will be a second proposal.

Footwear Design Sketch Finalization : Finalize footwear color design sketches (CAD) incorporating all relevant color and material information for each article.

These final sketches will be handed over to the client.

• Development Handover : Deliver all finalized footwear color design sketches (CAD) to the development team. Make further adjustments based on their feedback and your expertise.
• Project Completion Handover : Hand over the project to the internal design department for them to finalize and complete.
