Accounting Manager EMEA (mfd)

Headquartered in Tokyo Japan Evident employs around 4500 people at a total of 57 locations worldwide. Evident Europe headquartered in Hamburg Germany employs approximately 770 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics medical and basic research as well as in various industrial addition Evident offers videoscopes products for non-destructive testing techniques and for X-ray fluorescence analysis.

Tasks

• Coordination of closing activities between internal functions CAO in Singapore and Infosys as our external service provider for accounting transactions
• Close collaboration with EMEA Finance Treasury & Tax department
• Ownership and close business partnering with HR on payroll & pension accounting
• Account & subledger reconciliation
• Management of deferrals & accruals
• Management of external service providers for IFRS vs local GAAP translation (where needed in our branch locations)
• Coordination of end-to-end audit process with E&Y
• Regular update to local management on key variances in balance sheet p&L as well as cash flow statements vs prior year and budget
• Support of global systems & process harmonization (e. g. OneStream implementation travel & expense cash pool credit & collection etc.)Active engagement in improvement initiatives (e. g. working capital improvement simplification & automation of MEC process etc.)

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting with focus on IFRS / HGB
• Min 7 years of experience in comparable roles
• Proven track record in management of closing consolidation & audit processes
• Practical experience at management level in all major accounting topics
• Problem solving mentality
• Experience in management of SSC / 3rd party providers
• Business partner mindset
• Team player in multinational matrix organization
• Fluent in English and German
