Business Intelligence Engineer - Python, SQL, Analytics - Relocation to Frankfurt - 95.000 EUR
Partnering with a self financed tech company, we are helping them with their search for a Business Intelligence Engineer in a hybrid role combining elements of data engineering with data science.
With no clients or customers to answer to, this company has the freedom to focus on what makes their users happy and teams have the autonomy to explore and choose the technologies they use, fostering a culture of curiosity and knowledge-sharing.
Currently, in the BI team, we primarily utilize :
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery as our data warehouse and Looker for analysis, along with various GCP services for data storage and access.
- Airflow for processing several hundred million analytics events daily in our ETL workflow.
- Python and libraries like pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn for building simulations and models for our games.
Your Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the Head of BI and fellow team members to empower all teams in making informed, data-driven decisions.
- Contribute actively to a game development team by leveraging analytics, simulations, A / B testing, and other data-driven methods to enhance the game.
- Analyze not only player data but also insights from various business areas such as user acquisition and monetization, presenting findings to facilitate decision-making.
- Assist in the continuous improvement and expansion of our data model.
- Automate manual processes and develop tools to enhance efficiency for your colleagues.
Your Profile :
- A completed degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in roles such as analytics engineer, data analyst, or data scientist.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly within big data and data warehouse contexts.
- Programming expertise in Python.
- Solid analytical skills and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Superset, Tableau).
- Experience in defining, conducting, and analyzing A / B tests, along with a hands-on approach to evaluating experiments.
- A proactive mindset for data exploration, with a knack for questioning the status quo and deriving new insights.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
