Position : Lead Engineer
Location : Berlin (Hybrid)
Language : German (C1 minimum) and English
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our client's core team based in Berlin, overseeing several crucial and exciting Solar and BESS projects.
Responsibilities :
- Leading and coordinating a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout project development and execution.
- Demonstrating confidence and adept negotiation skills, particularly in EPC contract discussions, to facilitate smooth project implementation.
- Contributing to strategic decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and goals.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize project development and execution processes, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of market trends and regulatory frameworks to inform project development strategies and ensure compliance.
Required Skills :
- Relevant utility-scale renewables project experience in Germany, covering development and construction phases, particularly focusing on ground-mounted projects larger than 10 MW.
- Experience in EPC contract discussions, given the various projects to be managed.
- Strong understanding of German regulations relevant to the industry.
- Familiarity with PVsyst and AutoCAD.
- Fluent German (C1+).
Desired Experience :
- Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), considering the presence of co-located / hybrid projects.
- Exposure to international environments, possibly gained from a multinational company background.
