Introduction

We are seeking a Global Director, Engineering, Digital Services to lead application engineering and commissioning efforts for our asset optimization, asset health, process control, and process optimization solutions.

This role oversees hardware production, documentation, field and remote support, level three support, and R&D project support, ensuring seamless delivery of our cutting-edge digital offerings globally.

FLS Digital Services delivers innovative, full flowsheet solutions for asset optimization, process control, and performance enhancement through data-driven technologies and advanced engineering support.

Your responsibilities

Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all team members and others affected by operational activities adhere to safety standards,

Manage engineering resources across multiple specialist teams, fostering skill development and competencies within various engineering disciplines,

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of key areas, including roles, products, processes, services, and support requirements across the organization,

Ensure that all engineering processes, documentation, and quality standards comply with good engineering practices, rules, and applicable regulations,

Develop and nurture cross-organizational and cross-functional relationships to ensure effective and seamless delivery of digital engineering services,

Define and implement global engineering strategies, aligning regional engineering groups to drive productivity, consistency, and efficient project delivery,

Create and manage a versioning and retention strategy for globally utilized engineering documentation, including developing and maintaining departmental style guides,

Estimate and manage budgets for medium- to high-complexity documentation projects, negotiating to address concerns and ensure project success.

Leadership and Team Management : Ability to lead, manage, and develop a diverse, multi-disciplinary engineering team, fostering collaboration and skill growth while managing complex, high-level projects.

Technical Expertise in Digital Services : In-depth knowledge of all digital services solutions across our asset optimization, asset health, data strategies, and process control systems, to oversee application engineering, deployment and commissioning, and to support operations.

Safety and Compliance Knowledge : Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and engineering best practices, ensuring that all operational activities adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Thinking and Planning : Ability to define and implement global engineering strategies, aligning regional teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring consistency and productivity across regions.

Project and Budget Management : Skilled in estimating, negotiating, and managing project budgets, particularly for medium- to high-complexity documentation and engineering projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships across organizational and functional boundaries, promoting effective service delivery and cross-team collaboration.

Process and Quality Management : Expertise in creating, maintaining, and enforcing processes, documentation, quality control, and certification standards in line with global regulations, FLS procedures and guidelines, and industry best practices.

Data and Documentation Management : Proficiency in managing complex documentation systems, including version control, retention strategies, and ensuring the consistency and quality of engineering documentation globally.
