In October 4, the Vestas Global HSE Work Practices team was established to bring together experts with extensive subject matter expertise in key risk areas, with the goal of improving HSE performance across all Vestas operations.

HSE Work Practice
This team, fuelled by a dedication to continuous improvement and supported by years of experience and profound knowledge, will help Vestas build the capacity to effectively manage and mitigate HSE risks.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Global Point of Contact and contribute to setting and achieving targets and KPIs for electrical safety
- Collaborate with Vestas Regional Electrical Safety leads to identify best practice and ensure global / cross-regional alignment
- Developing strategies in order to keep Vestas at the forefront of industry advancements and best practices in the field of electrical safety
- Drive innovation in electrical safety practices by exploring and integrating new technologies, methodologies, and processes
- Ensure appropriate systems and governance across regions are established and aligned to global electrical safety minimum requirements
- Attend and be prepared to Chair the Global Electrical Safety Committee (GESC) meetings
- Represent Vestas in industry related electrical safety forums and influence any developments in order to protect Vestas interests
Qualifications
- Electrical engineering qualification
- Minimum 3 years Operational work experience ideally in the Wind industry
- Experience working within a regional / global team
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams
- GWO Basic Safety Training as a minimum
- Fluent in English
Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., WTSR, NFPA E, EN )
- The ability to conceive and develop global policies and procedure with a focus on Simplicity
- Extensive operational experience with the credibility to drive buy-in from across the business
- Team-oriented professional with the ability to motivate key stakeholders from across the business
- A drive to support change in a fast paced operating environment with operations across the globe
- Effective in handling multiple tasks, ensuring key areas of risk are prioritised, doing so in a fast-paced environment
