Senior Procurement Sustainability Manager
Our Client are seeking an experienced Procurement Sustainability Manager to drive the company's commitment to sustainable sourcing and ensuring the supply chain aligns with global sustainability standards.
Your Main Responsibilities :
- Work together with internal stakeholders to include sustainability into all facets of the procurement process, such as the product development, operations, and marketing teams.
- Share the advantages of sustainable procurement with important stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Within the procurement function, monitor and report on sustainability measures and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assure adherence to all pertinent reporting guidelines, certifications, and sustainability standards.
- Keep up with new developments in technology, trends, and sustainable procurement best practices.
- Take the lead in projects aimed at enhancing our procurement operations' sustainability performance over time.
- Give the procurement team and other pertinent departments training and direction on sustainable practices.
- Encourage a sustainable culture throughout the entire company.
- Formulate and execute a thorough sustainable sourcing plan that complements the organization's overarching sustainability objectives.
- Determine how our supply chain may have a better positive influence on the environment and society.
- Consider sustainability factors, such as labour methods, ethical standards, and environmental impact, when evaluating and choosing suppliers.
- Ensure congruence with our sustainability aims by cultivating strong connections with key suppliers.
- Establish and implement rules and regulations for procurement that support environmentally friendly methods.
- Make sure that every purchase process complies with applicable environmental laws, rules, and industry guidelines.
- Determine the supply chain's sustainability-related issues and address them.
- Create plans to deal with possible setbacks and guarantee the supply chain's resiliency.
Your Qualifications and Requirements :
- Comprehensive knowledge of the rules, procedures, and concepts of sustainable procurement.
- A track record of creating and putting into practice effective sustainability solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Capacity to evaluate intricate facts and reach well-informed conclusions.
- Working knowledge of sustainable reporting frameworks like CDP, GRI, or others.
- Knowledge of pertinent sustainability certifications, such as Fair Trade, FSC, and ISO 14001.
- Proven leadership skills, including the capacity to oversee multidisciplinary teams and spearhead organisational transformation.
