Recipe Developer & Food Stylist

Since 2014, we've created the global brands Marley Spoon (Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon in the US) and Dinnerly to deliver meal kits with unique, easy-to-cook recipes and top-quality, pre-portioned ingredients.

We are looking for an experienced Culinary Creative to develop new recipes, style food for photography and manage the test kitchen.

The Culinary team is responsible for the recipes & menus creation based on our customers requirements and preferences. The recipes are the heart of Marley Spoon and are carefully developed, tested, and photographed in-house by our team .

This is an on-site position, and you will be required to be in the office 80% of your time.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, write and test-cook amazing, yet simple and fast (15-20 mins) recipes (all cuisines and diets) for different customers' taste preferences (classic, kid-friendly, healthy etc) using seasonal ingredients within a given budget.
• Cooking and styling recipes on a weekly basis. Adjust cooking steps if needed and share changes with recipe developer and editors.
• Review customer complaint reports and dish ratings of recipes and take actions based on data.
• Update & maintain photography equipment, utensils, props and backgrounds in collaboration with styling team. Help with shopping for ingredients and staging recipes.
• Support shoot manager with concepting, prop shopping and researching main campaign shoots.
• Assist with filming / photographing social media content.
• Responsible for the day to day operations in the test kitchen, including stock rotation, food safety, expense management, and event coordination.

Fulfill all ingredient orders for test cooking.

• Support on-boarding of new ingredients by managing samples, arranging tastings and collecting feedback.
• Liaising with office management regarding facility topics.

Requirements

• Have minimum 3+ years’ experience in recipe creation, food styling and cooking, gastronomy or / and in food editorial.
• Very good knowledge of ingredients and the food market (trends, channels etc).
• Team player and good communication skills.
• Incredibly organized - you demonstrate effective time management skills in the midst of shifting priorities.
• You are experienced in using Gsheets & apps, and can quickly adapt to using new tools.
• Fluent in English a must.
