Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager

A global Japanese leading logistics company is seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager to join the team in Rotterdam. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the logistics warehouse, ensuring the efficient management of inventory, shipments, and staff. This role is essential in maintaining high service quality and operational efficiency while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

TYPE : Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS : 8 : 30-17 : 00 (30 minutes lunch break) Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week

SALARY : up to 60K–70K EUR / Gross Salary + Pension Scheme

LOCATION : Rotterdam, the Netherlands (Office based)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operational Management

o Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including o Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and deliveries.

o Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize productivity and space utilization.

o Coordinate with transportation teams and third-party providers to manage delivery schedules.

o Lead, train, and manage a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, forklift drivers, and warehouse operatives.

o Monitor performance, set goals, and provide regular feedback and development support.

o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, labor laws, and internal policies.

o Serve as the main point of contact for clients and key accounts serviced by the branch.

o Ensure high levels of service quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.

o Resolve client escalations quickly and professionally.

o Manage branch budgets and operational costs.

o Track KPIs, including productivity, on-time delivery, accuracy, and cost per unit handled.

o Prepare and submit regular performance and financial reports to HQ or regional offices.

o Ensure all operations comply with local and EU logistics regulations and safety standards.

o Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

o Promote a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse and logistics teams.
