Finance & Accounting Assistant

A growing Japanese machinery company in the Netherlands is currently recruiting a Finance & Accounting Assistant for their office in Almere.

You will be responsible for processing financial The ideal candidate should have at minimum 3 years’ work experience in a similar finance position, and fluency in Dutch and English.

TYPE : 1 year contract, potential to be Permanent, full-time

WORKING HOURS : 9 : 00-17 : 30 from Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

SALARY : €2,800-€3,600 START : ASAP

LOCATION : Almere, the Netherlands (Lelystad from summer 2025)

Finance & Accounting Assistant Responsibilities :

• Processing financial
• Accounts payable support
• To proactively register, screen, and monitor accounting details in the systems
• Process documents and information in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders
• To provide administrative accounting support to the Group Manager Finance, Accounting, and IT
• To ensure that all the necessary invoices are completed, processed, and issued at month end for the financial month end closure
• To coordinate & communicate proactively with the team members and external stake holders regarding day-to-day operational activities
• Supporting with collating and the preparation of documentation necessary for issuing of credit notes / cash backs and letters of credit

Skill requirements for the Finance & Accounting Assistant are :

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• At least a completed education MBO+ / MEAO (finance & accounting) at a working and thinking level
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in preferably a similar finance position
• Actual sales invoicing experience in an international setting is a plus
• ERP and Excel at proficiency level

• Pro-Active Mindset
• Proficiency with computer tools : MS Office, working knowledge of SAP (or other ERP system), Excel (a must) and Power BI (nice to have)
• Language : fluent in Dutch and English
