The project manager assistant leads part of projects as well as complete projects in accordance with APS development strategy and serial project planning and realization.

This includes the management of quality, cost and time, also in function as the technical lead of the project / part of project.

Role and responsibilities

• Create modular solutions or select and adapt existing modular systems according customer need and his assembly application
• You create the specification sheet and design a first 3D-Concept, finally work out constructively with our designer / developer a preferably modular assembly systems according ARaymond product families
• Assess and define the feasibility of components and assembly groups, considering time, costs and function and installation aspects.
• Create project plans, define milestones and quality gates and take care for them.
• Planning and controlling of projects parts or project components
• Creating project specifications by reviewing customer requirements and performance standards, completing technical studies, preparing cost calculations and offer
• Validating performance by planning, designing and conducting experiments and test with prototypes
• You are interested in developing technical solutions, from concept creation to series production
• You optimize existing systems and processes
• You support the project manager throughout the entire project
• You will participate in the continuous improvement process and scout for new technologies and components
• Contact with supplier and customer
• Taking care for the machinery directive and preparing CE certificate

Education and experience

• Engineering Diploma or state certified technicians in mechanical engineering
• Engineer or experienced technician with 2 years in engineering or industrialization department
• Several years of work experience in the field of mechanical / technological development
• Practiced in project work and their pursuit. Capture risks and take them into account in their planning

Skills

• Self-driven, well organized and detail and solution oriented
• Team-oriented and flexible, get it done mindset
• Hands on is seen as a support for the success of the project
• Willingness to travel for occasional customer and supplier visits, national and international
• Project management skills (Technics & tools)
• Software skills : Office tools as well as willingness to learn and use additional software
• Ability to work on international projects
• Fluent in German
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

The entity Rayce Assembly and Process Solutions (APS) is, amongst other topics, developing systems and tools to enable, support and optimize customers assembly processes and provide them the best solution for his application to assemble ARaymond fasteners.
