Exide Technologies’ Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I).

Exide s technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization.

Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, In-Front-of-the-meter and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

For our growing division Energy Solutions in Büdingen (nearby Frankfurt am Main) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a :

Product Manager (m / f / x) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Join our team in Büdingen - catchment area Frankfurt, Hanau, Gelnhausen, Gießen, Aschaffenburg.

The Product Manager BESS will be in charge of the BESS product road map inside the Energy solutions division. This position will ensure that our offer is aligned with the current market requirements and will make the bridge with the R&D team.

Through contribution, this is a key position in the long-term profitable growth.

A good understanding of the ESS technology and market know-how are essential to be successful in this role. Action is one of the main driver of the customer satisfaction.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?

• In charge of the BESS product road map
• Align our offer to the current market requirements and bridge with the R&D team
• In charge of product certifications and adjustments to regional specific requirements
• Remain focus on market trends, technical developments and innovation in the ESS offer in order to define and guide R&D on future product development
• Monitoring product cost targets, giving inputs to other functions in the internal value chain to ensure a competitive product line meeting the market requirements
• Technical support to the sales team for product information, customer training and technical data sheet analyses
• Prioritize sales projects to be supported by R&D
• Organize product launch programs and coordinates product information with our communication teams
• Support pre-sales and project technical analyses

What we ask for :

• University degree in a technical / engineering field
• A specialization or training in energy or renewable energy is a plus
• You have at least 5 years of experience in product management positions, and ideally a strong desire and eagerness to be engaged in battery technologies on a technical level
• You are recognised for your communication skills, you like to work closely with different functions
• You have a proven track record of dealing with customers and are committed to developing collaborative relationships to deliver results
• Proficient written and spoken English and German skills
• Proactive communication with colleagues and customers
