About the role

The Sales Manager DACH will be responsible for theoverall sales in the food industry assigned in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In this position, you are responsible for analyzing the market and relevantmarket data to further improve AAK’s position.

The responsible Sales Managerwill set and execute the commercial strategy, in close cooperation with theSales Director.

Responsibilities

As Sales Manager DACH your main tasks andresponsibilities will be :

  • Setting and executing the commercialstrategy for the assigned countries / regions to improve overall market share andprofitability.
  • Independently analyze the market as wellas competition and extrapolate strategic steps.
  • Cooperate closely with the CustomerInnovation teams, Sales Director, and Inhouse / Customer Service sales team toachieve the optimum sales results and customer satisfaction.
  • Support and develop the business plan,which will meet both personal and business goals for expanding the customerbase in the assigned countries / region.
  • Prepare reports on margin and volume targetsaccording to internal procedures.
  • Ensure satisfaction of the client base, basedon a customer-centric approach.
  • Keep track and secure account agreements andcontracts as necessary.
  • Signal and follow up timely on(production) challenges and / or issues by using your problem-solving skills.
  • Propose and implement initiatives withinthe Sales department.
  • Achieve results through effective salesmanagement and Go to Market sales strategy.

About you

To besuccessful in the role you need :

  • Bachelor’s degree education, preferably in food or commercial.
  • Mother tongue German, fluently English, preferred would be one other language ( Italian or French).
  • Proven track record as Sales Manager in the food industry (2 - 7 years), preferably familiar with AAK products and markets.
  • Experienced to plan, direct, achieve and monitor sales targets set.
  • Experience with forecasting, negotiation and snowball management.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, both virtual as well as in person
  • Independently initiator of commercial activities with a hunter mentality.
  • Problem solver
  • Value adding mindset.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Industry knowledge is certainly an asset.
