The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!*Job Description*Rotating geometries, such as those found in gearboxes and eAxles, pose a significant challenge in fluid dynamics.
Various methods exist for modelling rotating meshes, but each has its limitations.* Your thesis aims to implement a new model using the open source CFD software OpenFOAM.
- You will test the developed model and compare it with experimental data.* Additionally, you will compare it with existing models in terms of computational cost and accuracy.
- All developments must comply with the latest coding standards and allow for automation.*Qualifications *Education : *Master studies in the field of Physics, Computational Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Mathematics or comparable* *Experience and Knowledge : *very good knowledge of fluid dynamics;
strong programming skills in Python, Bash scripting, C++ is an advantage; experience with OpenFOAM is beneficial* *Personality and Working Practice : *highly motivated, independent, responsible, committed, team player and proactive* *Languages : *very good in English, very good in German is an advantage*Additional Information Start : *according to prior agreement*Duration : *6 monthsRequirement for this thesis is the enrollment at university.
