Since the beginning of 2019, Digital Charging Solutions GmbH has been part of the mobility joint venture between the BMW Group and Daimler AG.

CHARGE NOW is a service of DCS and part of this joint venture, which aims to strengthen sustainable mobility together with FREE NOW.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you'll embark on a thrilling journey at the forefront of E-mobility, where your expertise within the DCS Portfolio Team will ensure smooth and innovative planning and strategizing.

Your role encompasses tasks such as steering OKR based prioritisation within the product, commercial and development teams, analysing deliverables, resource planning and allocations, all aimed at maximizing the integration and accessibility of EV charging services for drivers.

The Portfolio Team plays a crucial role in aligning the corporate strategy with the overall product development priorities & roadmap to ensure the success and growth of the company's product and services offerings while defining and driving DCS’s roadmap and budgets by processes and active stakeholder management.

Your mission

Alignment - Ensuring there is strong alignment between company strategy and product development to support correct resource allocation and allow for strategic focus to maximise the successful implementation of the DCS product roadmap.

Resource Planning and allocation Setup resource planning and allocation processes to allocate resources based on the company priorities within product and services development.

Identify, forecast, and then plan the resources based on company strategy and OKRs. Foster collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and mitigate risks.

Investment decisions - steering all projects and product development investments at DCS by closely monitoring progress and ensuring that the roadmap is being followed effectively.

This goes hand in hand ensuring transparent, up-to-date, and aligned roadmaps across the different Products and Services of DCS.

Steering requirements and priority process and framework for horizontals. You will be ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy, company OKRs as well as the company top level KPIs.

By implementing these strategies, the portfolio manager can effectively look after investments within product development.

Standardization and analyses of deliverables - Promote efficiency and consistency across the organization through ensuring standardisation in decision processes and evaluating whether the deliverables are aligned with the product roadmap and strategic priorities.

Enforce an analyses process of deliverables to identify areas for improvement and optimisation to champion the promised results.

By conducting thorough analysis of the deliverables, the portfolio manager ensures that the DCS product and services aligns with the company expectations, increasing business value and contributing to the overall success of the DCS.

As a Portfolio Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the dynamic and strategic decision-making process of DCS and have a high leverage on the team’s impact in the organization's success and learning cross functional collaboration and engagement.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team

Your profile

• Experience working as a Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, or a Product Manager
• Experience with defining and steering budget and resource allocation processes
• You have experience working with business cases, standardisation, and scalability in mind
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in work
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to analyse and present data effectively with experience in working with JIRA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language skills are a plus
