Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning.

The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Data engineer - Energy storage system (m / f / d)

Your mission

• Data Cleaning : Clean and preprocess raw data to enhance their quality and ensure they meet established standards for analysis purposes.
• Data Format Adjustment : Convert data from various sources into a unified format suitable for analysis and integration within the data ecosystem.
• Data Interface Development : Design, build, and maintain interfaces and APIs to enable seamless and secure data exchange between systems and stakeholders.
• Database Management : Work with database technologies to optimize data storage, retrieval, and organization to ensure data availability and integrity.

Your areas of expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or Scala.
• Extensive knowledge of database concepts and experience working with relational (SQLs) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB).
• Profound experience with ETL tasks such as data cleaning, data transformation, and data integration.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Broad experience in MLOps / DataOps on Cloud, Edge and IoT e.g. Dockers,Kubernetes, Linux, Scripting.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries like Tableau, Power BI, Plotly or similar.
• Fluent in written and spoken English (working language)
