Job Mission :

As part of the Automotive Market segment team and reporting to the Automotive Segment manager, we are looking for a R&D project leader to support the growth of the Automotive market by leading different type of projects in line with the automotive strategy roadmap (New Product Development and / or Adaptation, New Applications, Raw Material,..).

Your Responsibilities :

1. Innovation New product development and product adaptation :

• Manage and execute innovation projects (new product development and product adaptation) to develop new polyamide solution for automotive applications, proactively or answering to identified market needs.
• Organize project team meetings and project reviews with management : Define project deliverables, lead times and resources, alert if deviation is observed during project lifetime, capitalize project information in reporting tools (Monday.com)
• Support customers facing team (ADM-Application Development Manager, TAM-Technical Account Manager, Sales account) to understand requirements, translate it into technical expectations.

Realize technical presentations, present the new developed solutions to customer facing team and when appropriate interact directly to customers on the initiative of customer facing team in order to have technical experts' exchanges.

2. Innovation Develop technical support / expertise for addressing new applications and new technologies with the support of the Application Development Managers, by leading exploratory projects :

• Identify the technical actions to be conducted in order to better understand new applications, and position existing or new products on these new applications.
• Coordinate these actions with the support and the expertise of the different Application Center labs (Evaluation, processing & compounding, Simulation, Part testing).
• Develop knowledge and technical expertise on formulations and applications.

3. Approval of raw materials Participate to Raw material survey and support the raw material manager and purchasing team on the homologation of new raw materials by :

• Meeting raw mat / additives suppliers
• Lead some of the projects of the Raw mat portfolio.
• Plan tests at R&D and industrial levels, analyze the results and, in coordination with all stakeholders, support the validation and approval of new materials that go into the formulations of finished products.
• Support industrial function on topics which imply formulation modification or new Raw mat homologations.
• The new materials to be tested will be decided by the purchasing department in application of the defined strategy.

4. Support other regions (China, India, US) on topics linked to new local product development. Ensure compliance with HSE regulation, quality standards and company policies :

• Understands and adheres to all DOMO safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and others.

IHR PROFIL

• Ph.D or Master in polymer Science, Material Science, Chemistry
• Good knowledge in polymer properties, technical plastics formulation, Analyses for characterizing plastic materials, processing technologies (Compounding, Injection molding)
• Experienced on Automotive market, is an asset
• At least 5 years experienced in plastics formulation for injection Moulding
• Project lead, transverse management
• Innovation process and project management related to
• Execution and achievement drive

Communication skill (power point presentations, written reports)

Fluent English needed
