What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Linux enthusiast who is willing to help to bring Linux one step further at SAP. You will join the SAP LinuxLab which is the main development department at SAP responsible for development of SAP products on Linux and to test and certify physical and virtual hardware, Linux distributions, Linux software as well as cloud providers and cloud products.
You will install Linux and SAP products on physical machines and in the cloud. You will help to develop ideas to improve SAP on Linux and test new developments together with our Linux partners and other teams inside SAP.
Since SAP is focusing on the cloud, this job will allow you to be part of a great journey working on the latest technology developments in this industry.
What You Bring
Having an excellent master's degree in computer science or natural sciences lays a strong foundation for a successful career with us.
Knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas is beneficial :
- Enthusiasm for Linux
- Knowledge of Linux distributions and programs
- Linux administration and ideally shell script knowledge
- Development skills in either C / C++ / Python / ABAP / Rust / Go or any other programming language
- Test automation with Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Linux security (SELinux)
- Knowledge of SAP applications and SAP administration would be a plus
- Fluent English and German minimum B1
