thesis (B/M): Development of innovative heat input systems for chemical recycling
The Advanced Carbon Conversion Technologies department is involved in the chemical recycling of plastic waste and its conversion into basic chemicals.
The effective input of heat and the efficient use of energy significantly determine the economic and ecological added value of chemical recycling.
Effective methods for heat input are therefore to be identified, tested and further developed as part of a final thesis.
What you will do
- Research existing heat input systems and media
- Modify and adapt existing pilot plants
- Experimentally evaluate the heat input systems
- Summarize and evaluate the results
What you bring to the table
must have :
- Engineering degree, such as process engineering, chemical engineering or similar
- Practical experience in mechanical and plant engineering, e.g. through training, internship or practical study modules
- Independent and autonomous way of working
- Good knowledge of English
nice to have :
Confident handling of MS-Office

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
