Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative person (f / m / d) who is interested in a PhD position in the field of modeling and model verification of HW / SW systems for complex MEMS sensors.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects in the field of consumer electronics and IoT and develop new applications for smart MEMS inertial sensors.
Your tasks will include :
- Research in the area of modeling of smart sensor systems
- Concept creation, modeling, simulation, and model verification of virtual sensor prototypes for the HW / SW codesign of MEMS inertial sensors
- Identification and implementation of new applications for consumer electronics and IoT
- Understanding and modeling systems at hardware and software level
- Optimization of modeling and model verification methodology for smart MEMS sensors
- System analysis in the areas of HW / SW and mixed-signal systems
- Collaboration and intensive exchange with system architects, ASIC, firmware, and MEMS experts as well as internal and external research partners
- Working on innovative projects in international and interdisciplinary teams for a global market
- Writing scientific publications and presenting research results at conferences
Qualifications
- Personality : You enjoy working in international and interdisciplinary teams and are enthusiastic and creative in your approach
- Working style : You work independently and goal-oriented
- Experience and know-how : You have experience in modeling digital and / or mixed-signal hardware; Ideally, you have good programming skills in C++, SystemC or SystemC-AMS as well as knowledge of system / circuit design, design verification, simulation, and modeling technologies
- Languages : A very good command of English, German is beneficial
- Education : You have a Masters / Diplom Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Microsystems Engineering, or a related subject with very good results
