Power Electronic Design Engineer
Mission
As part of a team of 12 electrical designers and engineers, you'll be tasked to collect the needs and thereafter to specify the power supplies for projects related to proton therapy, industrial and radiopharmaceutical solutions.
Our installations require a lot of power (200kW to 600 kW DC) to supply magnets that guide the particles up to the target.
You will also challenge the supplier R&D team during the design phase of the product you specified. Your expertise will be also appreciated by the operational sites during the debugging of an issue.
The team focuses on the creation of specifications but also on the electrical integration and the maintenance aspects of our products.
Challenges we trust you with
- Contributing to IBA projects as an electrical designer : specifications, concept and feasibility, review of the supplier design, integration aspects, and aftercare of old designs.
- Test and validate performances of power supplies (on LLN site or on sites abroad)
- Support and be part of potential troubleshooting (remotely or on-site abroad)
- Defining associated integration aspects.
- Creating and maintaining product documentation.
What we value
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on power electronics
- A first similar experience
- Possess knowledge and experience in the effective design of complex projects
