Our E-Assessment department develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive psychological online assessments.

We are looking for a full-time Java Software Engineer (m / f / d) to strengthen our team. You will be using your skills and experience to bring our highly successful assessment platform to the next level.
What will you be doing?
We are hiring a Java Software Engineer to join our team and work on our operational platform. Our software is life-changing, helping individuals discover careers that match their abilities and personalities through our innovative tests.
Additionally, our platform enables the early detection of learning blocks and psychological challenges, empowering people to lead better lives.
In this role, you will play a critical part in modernizing our system to ensure it stays at the cutting edge of the industry.
You will help shape the vision for the future development of our software, contributing ideas that will be integrated into a strategic roadmap collaboratively developed and executed by the team.
You will contribute to designing and executing strategies to transition our existing software to contemporary technologies.
Your role will involve influencing key technical decisions to prepare our leading software for psychological testing over the next decade.
Actively participating in the software development process, you will set high standards through your exemplary work and technical expertise.
Your hands-on approach will guide the team in implementing best practices, maintaining code quality, and driving technical implementation.
You will also foster creativity and collaboration within the team, ensuring our software evolves to meet the changing needs of users and industry standards.
Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams to support the development of team members and contribute to discussions on the strategic direction of our projects.
Your role will involve ensuring that your team’s efforts are aligned with departmental goals and objectives.
Who are you?
After some successful years of development, our HTS has become the market leader, serving a large number of customers worldwide.
We are looking for a Java Software Engineer (m / f / d) to prepare the HTS for the future. This requires you to develop a technical vision, develop the architecture of the software and develop the necessary measures and implement them with your team of developers.
You will probably have at least five years’ experience in Java software development, but we care less about how long you have been active and more about what you have been doing.
We would love to hear about what you have worked on, how it was built, and why it was a success. We are looking for a highly skilled professional eager to support the team by sharing your extensive knowledge and experience.
