The following position is available at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg for the summer semester 2025 : Professorship, salary scale W 3 (m / f / d)for Fine Arts with a focus on SculptureWe are looking for an artist of high international standing for the Fine Arts programme with a focus on sculpture who has demonstrated outstanding artistic achievements in the field of contemporary sculpture.
In addition to a university degree (or tertiary level equivalent qualification) in a subject relevant to the field of work, applicants must also demonstrate a comprehensive pedagogical aptitude and have the corresponding teaching experience.
The tasks include the comprehensive management of an art class. A willingness to be active in the university's committees within the framework of self-administration is a prerequisite.
In view of this, very good written and spoken German language skills are expected; at least level C1 is desirable.The recruitment requirements are set out in Art.
57 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG), the employment status of the professorship in Art. 58 BayHIG and the official duties in Art.
59 BayHIG. A person who has already reached the age of 52 cannot be appointed as a professor (m / f / d) with civil servant status.
It is also possible to be appointed as a tenured professor. For applicants (m / f / d) who have not worked full-time at a university for at least three years in accordance with Art.
53 Para. 4 BayHIG, appointment as a civil servant for life requires at least one and a half years as a probationary professor (Art.
