IT Business Analyst - Tax

Venquis currently have an opportunity for an IT Business Analyst to join their client on a full time, permanent basis in Munich.

Ideally, you will be disciplined in the Tax domain. This position is centered on German tax, tax certificates, relief at source, and international withholding tax reclaims.

If you possess a solid foundation in IT requirements and software engineering, combined with tax-related project experience, this role is an excellent match for you.

Your Responsibilities

• Business Requirements Analysis : Examine and define functional solutions, draft test plans, and conduct system tests to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Developer Collaboration : Partner with the development team to assess and refine technical solutions, ensuring they meet business needs.
• Interdepartmental Integration : Collaborate with various departments to incorporate IT solutions into the existing software and processes.
• Implementation Oversight : Manage the implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions in production, coordinating efforts with specialist departments and external vendors.
• Second-Level Support : Provide second-level support for business applications within your purview.
• Vendor Coordination : Oversee and manage external service providers within your responsibility area.

Your Profile

• Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in economics, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Professional Experience : 3-5 years as a business analyst or project manager in IT projects, with specific experience in tax (German tax, relief at source, international withholding tax reclaims, tax certificates).
• Customer and Vendor Management : Proficiency in customer communication and / or vendor management.
• IT and Software Engineering Skills : Strong expertise in IT requirements engineering and software development. Knowledge of programming languages (z / OS, COBOL, JCL, TSO, DB2) is a plus.
• Communication Skills : Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and comprehensively. Strong customer focus and excellent communication abilities.
• Independent Work Ethic : Capable of working independently with a responsible and structured approach.
• Team and Flexibility : Effective team player in a multicultural environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Technical Proficiency : Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and familiar with IBM Mainframe (z / OS, COBOL, JCL, TSO, DB2).

Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.

Language Skills : Fluent in German and English.
